United Tennis Students’ Art at the Gaston County Museum of Arts and History

During September 2023, our tennis students had the opportunity to participate at a drawing contest organized by the Gaston County Department of Health. Several of our students’ drawings were selected and displayed at the facilities of the Gaston County Department of Health. In October, those drawings were exhibited at the Gaston County Museum of Arts and History in celebration of the Hispanic Heritage Month. This event, called “Somos Dia a Dia” (We Are Day-to-Day), allowed our students to represent Hispanic families from their perspectives. We are so thankful with the Gaston County Department of Health and the Gaston County Museum of Arts and History for this marvelous initiative.

UTO’s First event was at the Bradley Community Center in Gastonia and almost 40 children were registered at the event. They had free tennis lessons and the opportunity to win some prizes playing games.

The Event ended up with a tennis exhibition where the two tennis players Marta Gomez-jordana and Maggie Lu showed us their abilities with a racquet. There was also a Tv raffle thanks to our sponsor AG Property Management.
